The same dream whatever I do, the same day on my mind, day after day when waking up I read the story written in my head long time ago,
I feel this taste, I feel making the same step, my whole life in front of my eyes, I see all those hours of hard work, let this step last forever, I breathe in this dream like air, audience cheers, the flag proudly waves in the air, one more step and I will hear the Mazurek, finally! me with the eagle on my heart, I raise my hands in triumph, I see obstacles, doubts, I see how the dream has shaped me, how the dream was becoming my life,
one more step and I will experience what I have been waiting for forever, what I have dreamt about when falling asleep, when waking up, step by step counting down the hours, I will proudly look down and this fire will remind me the dreamt-of team of heroes, this is my life, raise your hands with me, I will tell you what this step feels like when the God makes the dream come true – the Olympic gold!

I invite you to follow Dariusz Popiel’s fight at the world arenas in whitewater slalom, category K1. When he was eight, he started his adventure with canoes. Gradually, it has turned into his passion and then to his profession. Aspiration has become purpose for professionalism - to become his goal. His life and sport authorities met during his adventure with sport have influenced and will still impact the person he is and the goals he pursues. He considers being sportsman happiness and representing the national colours an honour. Student of law, enthusiast of history, rap singer, an individual who trains according to different methods than those usually adopted.
